Love this app. I would like to see a new tab where I can view a pie chart of target spending for future months. Reflecting on past spending is great, but I would like to be able to view graphically where my money is going to go next month based on recurring targets I have configured. This helps me understand “what it costs to be me.”

As discussed in Discord, create a series of videos highlighting Lumy features, how they might be used, etc. A couple ideas to start: Intro video: Why I created Lumy in the first place, what Lumy aims to be Lumy overview: A very brief touch on all features without diving into any one in particular A series of feature videos, diving deeper into each feature Note: Before doing this, I probably need to come up with a solution for creating a dummy budget, i.e a budget with real transaction/account data that is not my own, since demonstrating with an account with much data would not be helpful.

I would like to see the current month excluded from averages and trend lines. The problem being that the current month is not complete and as a result it skews the results, especially near the beginning of the month when the expenses have not been fully spent for the month. When I am looking at the past 6 months for example, the current month in many cases has zero spending because I haven't spent out of that category yet. As a result, the trend line shows a downward trend when the reality it may be flat or upward for the period. In addition, because there's zero spending for the current month the average is lower than it should be over the time period.

Hi there, starting this month (January 2025) I've recently gotten a refund transaction and I initially allocated it to the original category. However, when I took funds out said category, It's showing as it's being spent in the Lumy app.

Today, there are two sets of data that a user utilizes: YNAB data Lumy data The first is "synced" by virtue of being on YNAB's servers. The second is never synced and remains local to the user's device. This includes: Frugal month data Spend trackers Category views Settings This data is lost if the app is uninstalled, but can be exported and imported on a new device. Note that as of 5/19/24 frugal months and app settings are not exported. While this was initially a security precaution (Lumy was designed to be local-only), some have found it confusing as the general expectation is that our account data follows us across devices. We should allow device sync (should it be the default?) by virtue of a proper backend. Note that this would require users to have a Lumy account (which would likely be tied to their YNAB account id).

Shows a summary of this year's data at the end of each year. Includes: Income/Expense Trends (compare to previous year) Net worth difference start to end of year Top spend categories? Top frequency of spend categories?

It would be nice to have a budget vs actual chart where you can filter what to compare - by category group, tag, etc. The Targets Health report somewhat shows this information but seeing it in a graphical bar chart format would be easier to consume.

When I create reports with an advanced query on griceries, it frequently adds split categories that are not there or doubles the split categories that are there.

Add the ability to compare data between distinct ranges (e.g 2024 v 2022, or Jan 2024 and December 2021) or between time periods within a range (e.g Q1 v Q2 v Q3 v Q4 in 2024, or months in 2024-2025). Limitations: Potential limit on how many periods you can compare (need a unique color for each period) Will probably be limited to months (i.e not days or weeks) User 1: "I've always wanted a chart that lets you set time periods to compare against each other for a specific query, like spending on a certain category. For example I would love to have a glance able view of if I'm improving on my goal of "spending less on dining out", and seeing a graph that shows my current month vs the other 12 months prior would be really useful, all shown as separate lines. Or you could set 3 month periods to see the "quarterly" comparison over a year. Or set a "yearly" comparison vs the last 4 years." Message here . Turn on comparison mode, select the time period you want (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc) and it modifies all the charts into that comparison mode. My main use case would be that I like to see 3 months at a time, but would love to be able to compare that to the previous 3 months or past year." Meaning I could easily see how much I earned/spent March 2024 vs March 2023 vs March 2022 etc. I've always wanted this data overlayed to be able to compare years. Month in review missing ability to filter closed account. I recently closed an account. The month in review stats shown are incorrect and mess with the averages. Being able to filter the closed accounts like in other parts of the app should fix this issue. Thanks,
