Hi there, starting this month (January 2025) I've recently gotten a refund transaction and I initially allocated it to the original category. However, when I took funds out said category, It's showing as it's being spent in the Lumy app.

When I create reports with an advanced query on griceries, it frequently adds split categories that are not there or doubles the split categories that are there.

Month in review missing ability to filter closed account. I recently closed an account. The month in review stats shown are incorrect and mess with the averages. Being able to filter the closed accounts like in other parts of the app should fix this issue. Thanks,

I’m not sure if this is on purpose, but if I track a category, where I do not spend every month, the app says my lowest spending month is not a month where I spend zero, but the month, where a transaction occurred, with the lowest spending. For example: Jan: $0 Feb: $10 Mar: $20 The app will say the lowest spending month is February with $10 even tho I didn’t spend in January at all. In my opinion this is unintuitive and not representative of what I want to know. Again this might be on purpose but I personally do not think it is very useful that way. On the Budget screen the Spent This Month value and the Frugal August Spent amount are different. Any reason why these shouldn’t be the same? All categories and account options are set the same.

It looks like YNAB returns them in the correct order so we need to preserve that when persisting locally.

When changing a category group name, the change is not sent back in delta requests, meaning group names become stale UNTIL a category within that group is modified, which is then sent back in a delta request including the changes for the surrounding group. Steps to reproduce: Make Postman request to categories, take note of last knowledge. Change group name in YNAB Make delta request, no change is sent (but server knowledge does increment) Delete or rename category in the group Make another delta request, change is sent back.

You cannot select hidden categories when creating a frugal month. However, if you hide a category mid-month, it will still be included in spent calculations. Consider fixing this. Open question: There's probably a use case for optionally including the hidden category, as you may spend from it but just want to hide it afterwards, but still want it to count against your frugal month.

I noticed that when updating a category or payee name, the entities themselves receive updated names in delta requests, but transactions are not updated (even though last knowledge increases). Inquired with the YNAB API team and they stated this is correct: "According to our developers, when a category or payee name changes, our change detection system does not attribute this change to transactions that point to these entities but instead to the category and/or payee entity. Your noted work-around would probably be the best way to handle this." The eluded to workaround is just finding a way to source category/payee name from their respective tables rather than relying on the transaction properties from the transactions table.
