Ability to generate simple reports like https://repeating-export-for-ynab.com/ (which exports a csv of all recurring transactions). This could be useful for getting an at-a-glance picture of all recurring bills. Update: Refining this because I think we riffed on a pretty good idea in Discord here . Basically, it'd be slick to be able to view a "timeline" of your recurring/scheduled transactions, past, present (today) and future. Depending on how complex this is, we might even be able to tack on notifications for upcoming transactions, something YNAB does not support.

Currently, the spend by category group chart has labels for the pie chart but it shows only the $$ amount spent for each group. Suggestion: It’d be interesting to have a quick toggle to switch between percentage and dollar amount. Currently, the only way to see percentage is to touch a group, which drills down to the categories but that is not what I need. I need to see the percentages of all categories in a glance.

Would be great to have a report that shows you what categories you tend to overspend in relative to the targets you’ve set in YNAB. This would allow users to occasionally go back and update their targets based how much they’ve spent in a particular category. Right now to do that is a very manual process…

There have been multiple very reasonable requests to improve the timeframe choosing experience. Specifically: Ability to easily change between periods, i.e if I have selected a month, the ability to go to the next and previous month at the tap of a button. The Buddy app has a good example of this. Ability to have trailing periods, i.e rather than the Latest 3/6/12 month buttons select the dates and then never change as time progresses, make the selection track. So if in June I select Latest 3 months, the period will include April, May, & June. But in July, this will switch to May, June & July automatically without the need to re-select Latest 3 months. Ability to specify exact dates. This hasn't explicitly been requested (to my knowledge), but the ability to select non-month periods, i.e maybe you want to look at reports in terms of weeks or years. This potentially(?) collides with the BYOC feature , which will allow for this granularity when building charts.

Can you also add highest and lowest month amounts to the metrics? Average is great, but at times it would be nice to see what the biggest and smallest months were.

It's well known that the age of money calculation in YNAB is horrible. Can you replace it with the days of buffer on the budget tab? Days of buffer is far more useful.

A couple of requests have been made in the Discord for Frugal Months, which can be reviewed/implemented as you see fit: Modify the "Projected" line to be an average daily spend based on the day of the month, rather than the linear gradient currently implemented. This would be of special benefit to those who have their largest bills/obligations occur at the beginning or end of the month. In relation to item 1, adjust the "Status" tracking based on that projection. E.g., if most bills/obligations occur in the beginning of the month and correspond to 50% of monthly spend, prevent this from erroneously showing up as "In Danger".

The Budget Burndown visualization needs some love. Specific requests include: Get rid of percentages as they require mental math and don't aid in decisions. The 3 places we show these: In the section title, for each category group, and for each category. The title can show dollar amount left for the current view? This might be confusing as there is LTS which will show Frugal Month LTS or the LTS for the current view. In the case of the latter, these two values would be the same. Category groups should show $ left out of total initial (sum of all category initial balances) Categories can show $ left out of initial balance Additionally, we should improve the UI of bars with very little amount left, as currently it does not have the same radius as the background. Consider using the bar color as the background and clipping it to the bar's shape.

Currently, the individual category’s LTS is shown as percentage. It makes it hard to know how much I have left since I need to do mental math for each category. Can we just show it in the chart? 13% of $150 ($19) Aha I have $19 left for groceries this week! Instead of: what is 13 multiplied by 15? Hum.. no, let me open calculator app and type 13*150/100 Please show both $$ and %. This is the same request I have with Spend by category report

Not Feasible/Out of scope: Net worth increase/decrease: Since we can't be 100% sure that this would be accurate, we shouldn't include it. Overspent categories (we CAN show ones that ended up overspent, but not ones that were temporarily overspent, as moves within the month to cover overspending would remove our ability to determine this) Progress towards a goal (e.g you moved X% closer to Y goal).
