The Budget Burndown visualization needs some love. Specific requests include:
  • Get rid of percentages as they require mental math and don't aid in decisions. The 3 places we show these: In the section title, for each category group, and for each category.
  • The title can show dollar amount left for the current view? This might be confusing as there is LTS which will show Frugal Month LTS or the LTS for the current view. In the case of the latter, these two values would be the same.
  • Category groups should show $ left out of total initial (sum of all category initial balances)
  • Categories can show $ left out of initial balance
Additionally, we should improve the UI of bars with very little amount left, as currently it does not have the same radius as the background. Consider using the bar color as the background and clipping it to the bar's shape.
